Papia AI ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Luxer Graphics LLC, is dedicated to providing a high-performance translation engine while maintaining the highest standards of user privacy. This policy outlines our data handling practices.
A. Dictionary Search Data: While your individual "History" and "Favorites" remain stored locally on your device, Papia AI collects anonymous, aggregated search terms. We analyze which words are searched most frequently to identify gaps in our dictionary and improve accuracy. This data is stripped of all personal identifiers (IP addresses, device IDs) before analysis. We never track who searched for a word, only that a word was searched.
B. User-Generated Sentences: To improve our translation engine, when users utilize AI-powered features for custom translations, the text (English and Papiamento) may be transmitted to our secure servers for database expansion. This data is transmitted anonymously with no personal identifiers attached.
Note: AI-powered custom translation features are planned for future release and not yet available in the current version.
A. Email-Based Error Reporting: Papia AI includes an optional error reporting feature that allows users to report translation errors or request support. When you use this feature, your device's email application opens with a pre-filled message to our support team at support@papiaai.com.
What We Receive:
• Your email address (visible so we can respond)
• The translation details you choose to report
• Any additional information you include in your message
What We Don't Do:
• The app itself does NOT collect or store your email address
• We do not add you to marketing lists without explicit consent
• We do not share your email with third parties
• We do not track your email usage or app behavior
Your Control: This is entirely voluntary. You can review the message and cancel before sending. The email is sent through your standard email app, not collected within Papia AI.
The application does not request or require access to sensitive device permissions such as Camera, Microphone, Contacts, or GPS Location.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no user-identifiable information stored on our servers. For anonymized data transmission (future AI features), we utilize industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. Email communications are secured through standard email protocols.
We may utilize third-party AI processors for custom translations (in future updates). These services receive only the raw text provided for translation and do not receive any identifying information regarding the user.
Papia AI is a general audience reference tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, in compliance with COPPA regulations. If a child uses the error reporting feature, they should have parental consent to send email communications.
Dictionary Usage: Anonymous search term frequency data is retained indefinitely for linguistic analysis and dictionary expansion.
Support Emails: Retained for up to 2 years for quality improvement purposes. You may request deletion at any time by contacting support@papiaai.com.
